Over the course of his career, he has helmed award-winning TV and social campaigns for many familiar brands — including Verizon, Bob Evans, Airstream, L Brands, Kellogg's, Nationwide, Big Lots!, Kimberly-Clark, Smithsonian, Purina, Audi, Jeep, Ford, and multiple Lottery scratch-offs spots across the US.

His love affair with filmmaking started the old-fashioned way: shooting lo-fi VHS films with his best friend in upstate New York in the '90s. After college, he honed his craft at production and advertising companies across Los Angeles and San Francisco before a pivotal chapter in Detroit, where his work on Jeep earned a Cannes Lion — and signaled that something special was budding.

What Cory brings to every project is rare: a genuine professionalism combined with a creative problem-solving backbone, deeply committed at all stages to every endeavor that he has the privilege to be a part of. He is a creative director, writer, and strategic thinker with a pulse on the always shifting media landscape. His influences are deliberately wide-ranging, which keeps his work from ever feeling predictable or dry.

When he's not behind the camera, he's either embracing Midwest rural life with his wife or pushing himself deep into the backcountry on mountaineering trips — He is, in the best possible way, the kind of person who can't turn it off — perpetually curious, perpetually absorbing, perpetually bringing it back to the work. If you want a nerd laced earful about vinyl collecting, theology, cinema, comedy, history, late 80's to early 90's hip hop, hiking, or his bitterness about never seeing Fugazi live ... he's your guy.

Cory is available as a director, editor, or as a director/editor combo. Get in touch!
